In the vibrant and diverse regions of Washington D.C., Maryland, and Virginia, a community of approximately 5,000 Tunisians thrives. Yet, this community has longed for a focal point, a gathering place where we can come together to celebrate and nurture our rich and diverse Tunisian heritage. There has been an undeniable need for an organization to link us to our cherished traditions, language, and culture – an integral part of our identity that continues to evolve.
Tunisia, our homeland, is experiencing remarkable developments and innovations that are reshaping the culture of today. This significant transformation inspired the creation of Shakshuka.
