Leila Chennoufi
Hailing from Tunisia, Leila ventured abroad for her education, leading to long separation. However, her ties to her homeland have endured, and her desire to celebrate its culture, people, and history has grown. She's thrilled her friends of Tunisia in area who are coming together for the Shakshuka cultural project, making her dream a reality.

Nour Bouzouita
Born and raised in Tunisia, shaped by her childhood and the revolution, Nour is passionate about the country and focuses on the region, now from DC. Her background spans economics, public policy, and development, from think tanks to the World Bank. Nour is dedicated to understanding perspectives at all levels, from grassroots activism to global policy.

Sadok Rouai
With a strong background in economics and banking, Sadok brings decades of experience from the Central Bank of Tunisia and the International Monetary Fund. He’s also a dedicated marathon runner, doting grandfather and actively involved in cultural initiatives.

Hella Akrout
Hella, the Goddess of Extra Virgin Olive Oil, devotes her life to importing the world's finest EVOO from her Tunisian homeland. Her work takes her to Tunis multiple times a year, where she tends to her family's olive grove and presses. With a deep connection to both the US and Tunisia, she's truly a dual citizen at heart.

Aoufa Ezzine
Aoufa studied engineering in Tunisia and France and had a career in international development. Moving to the US rekindled her love for staying connected to her home country. She shared her passion for the lute, a musical instrument, and maintained strong friendships in the US who share her love for Tunisia.

Radhia Jihane Guizani
Born and raised in Tunisia in the Cap-bon area, Radhia Jihane left to study engineering and management and finally landed in DC working in development. She is passionate about dancing, movies and cooking and hope to help bring these cultural aspects in the context of Tunisia and Shakshuka to the Friends of Tunisia in the DC area.

Raed Gnaoui
Born and raised in the United States, Raed grew up amongst the Tunisian diaspora and vacationed in Tunisia almost every summer throughout his childhood. Raed continues to visit Tunisia and is excited to share and introduce people to Tunisia and it's unique culture. Raed is an avid soccer fan and father of two.
